Our Mission

What We Stand For

We are a musical theatre workshop where kids learn to build self-expression and self-confidence, all the while discovering the delights of acting, singing and choreography. The focus is on the development process of the students through a fun and encouraging environment with their peers and a Drama Mama!

Meet Us

ERINN GLEESON

Drama Mama and Founding Partner

ERINN is an actress, writer, choreographer, teacher and award-winning director. She has been featured in commercials and has many stage credits including Mollie in The Mousetrap, Sylvie in Moonlight and Valentino, “Blanche” in The Streetcar Named Desire, the Baker in Joseph’s Technicolor Dream Coat and other stage and dance productions.

She has a degree in Journalism from Ryerson University in Toronto and has been a freelance writer for many life, culture and home-design magazines. In Vancouver she was an EAL (English as Another Language) teacher for almost 10 years at Canada’s largest language college, ILSC (International Language Colleges of Canada) where she taught Communications, Public Speaking, Journalism, Business Presentation Skills and Pronunciation.

In addition, Erinn teaches the Musical Rainbow program by local children’s performer/educator “Mr. I,” as well as assorted dance classes at various Tri-Cities preschools.

As a mother of two young children, she is naturally passionate about helping kids find their confidence and belief in themselves especially through theatre, music and dance or whatever it is that inspires them.

Erinn is both thrilled and honoured to be working with her fellow Drama Mama, partner, and good friend Karen Illman. Together they have designed fun, creative, and educational classes that are intended to inspire kids to stretch beyond themselves, because they CAN!

Please feel free to say hi to Erinn at erinn@kidscantheatre.com.
